Animal Crossing New Leaf: Welcome Amiibo Update! Part Two ♡

Hi everyone! I hope you're enjoying your break! I certainly am!

In my last Welcome Amiibo Update post I talked about the MEOW coins, the CAT machine, the daily initiatives (which reward you with MEOW coins when completed) and the amiibo camera function!

In this post I will talk about other new things to do and see!

The Campground

After you update your game it appears somewhere alongside the wall/cliff side of your town. Mine appeared in a pretty good location! However in my Japanese town it appeared right next to my character's house...

This campground is where villagers visit in camper vans and you can order furniture from them! It's similar to the plaza that Digby stands in front of.

New NPC Harvey looks after the campground!

In Harvey's shop he sells two different items per day! Please bear in mind that you can only use MEOW coins to get items from Harvey's shop and when ordering villager furniture from their camper vans. More about that later!

Other features of the campground are:

The campfire! If you select it your character will either dance or warm their hands by the fire!

There's also a hammock and a water pump! peaceful! ( ु⁎ᴗᵨᴗ⁎)ु.zZ

Wisp is another new NPC who can turn into your Amiibo! You find him randomly whilst wandering around outside.

Take him back home...

and poof...he appears!

I thought I'd test out my new Isabelle Amiibo first! ヽ(´∀`ヽ)

Everyday Wisp will grant you a wish! So pick the Amiibo you want to use and scan it. Then you have two options: ask for an item (chosen at random) or ask for the villager to come and play AKA visit the town. If you pick that option then they will appear in the campground! This includes NPCs like Pascal, Joan, Saharah etc.

So let's visit Isabelle!

Her camper van is so cute! (。’▽’。)♡

So as I said before, you can order up to 3 items per player character per day from visitors in camper vans. These are some of the items you can order from Isabelle's as an example!

Woooooow! ヾ(。・ω・)シ

This is the one thing that's frustrating me so far about the new currency: it takes ages to save up enough MEOW coins to buy these awesome new items.

Out of curiosity I went to the town hall to see who would be there. I don't know, I guess I was expecting Tortimer or something but...

Yeah it's Wisp! It makes sense that he'd be there haha! However he's not much help for anything town hall related...

So I guess that this applies to all NPCs that you invite to the campground. Make sure you don't need to use their services before you invite them!

One other important thing to note is that only ONE out of your four main characters can make a wish with Wisp per day. I tried to use my second character Saiko to summon another visitor and got promptly shut down *sigh*

Some mini features !(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

!(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑ You can now sit on rocks! !(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

!(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑ You can also sit on cushions! !(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

!(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑ Cyrus makes a point of waving to you after collecting a refurbished item. !(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

!(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑ You can hang clothes on your walls just like in Happy Home Designer! !(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

!(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑ You can shake fruit from the trees whilst still holding a piece of equipment. !(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

!(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑ When you order items from camper vans, after they arrive you cannot then go to the catalogue in the store and try to order them from there. It HAS to be ordered from the camper van. Which makes sense as I suppose they're just like the special items you get from the Post Office, using Play Coins or via Spotpass. !(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

!(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑ Finally, apparently if you've invited a villager from a card to move in then you cannot summon them again through Wisp. (Although I haven't tested this myself yet) I'm really glad that I have two 3DS' as I can just get my other character to summon villagers I need for specific items! !(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

There are lots and lots of smaller features, I haven't even gotten through half of them yet! I don't plan on posting about every detail because I haven't found them all yet haha! However I always use the following websites for information/help:

(^▽^)☞ Thonky - The best comprehensive guide for ACNL that I've seen. That being said, I haven't seen on their website a guide to the new update but maybe they'll add one soon.

For even more information, you can look at the official website.

Thanks for reading!
